Jomsom

Located at an altitude of 2800m Jomsom lies in the banks of Kali Gandaki River. Being labeled as the administrative hub of the government Jomsom is always on move with people coming and going.

Known for its spectacular views and cultural heritage, the deep valleys encircled by the giant Annapurna Himal with the subtropical jungle resembles the Tibetan Plateau which is highly prized by treekers and travelers. To be specific, the Dhaulagiri and Nilgiri form a backdrop to Jomsom making it absolutely stunning and unmatched beauty.

The town is also famous for the Muktinath and Jomsom-Muktinath Trek. Both extremely difficult and challenging and need to started with Jomsom as a base point along with the Kali Gandaki River valley. Both the treks can be dome as part of the Annapurna Circuit. The assorted landscapes and traditions are seen along the trek giving you a feel of rural Nepali customs. The high spot of the Trek is the walk though the Gorge carved by the Kali Gandaki. The walk originated in the Tibetan plateau and flowed in the Ganges in India.
